Don Myer is Senior Pastor of Northwest Community Church.
Pastor Myer celebrated 25 years of ministry in 2009 having served at Fellowship Bible Church in Newman Grove,
Nebraska for five years, eight years at First Baptist Church, Glenwood, Minnesota and most recently, twelve years
in Newton, Kansas, at Newton Bible Church.
Pastor Don and his wife Gala are native Nebraskans, both graduating
from Grace University in Omaha with bachelor degrees in 1981. Don was
a Bible, History and Philosophy major and Gala was a Bible and Christian
Education major.
Pastor Don completed his education at Western Conservative Baptist
Seminary in Portland, OR, where he received his Master of Divinity
in 1984.
Having rural backgrounds they love the outdoors (Pastor Don is an avid
hunter, fisherman), sports (Don officiates basketball and umpires baseball)
and building meaningful relationships. The Myers enjoy working
with people of all ages and love Christian camping. They have
especially appreciated the Child Evangelism ministries.
Above all else their passion is to know Jesus Christ and make Him known.
Pastor Don and Gala have four adult children: Judy (recently becoming
Mrs. Ernesto Andujar), James, John and Jenna.
